Mills’ quartet faces appointments committee today

The Appointments Committee of Parliament is expected to vet the last batch of ministerial and deputy ministerial nominees on Friday.

They include Mr William Kwasi Aboah, Minister-designate for the Interior, Mr Amin Amidu Sulemana, Upper West Regional Minister-designate, Mr Isaac Vanderpuye, Deputy Greater Accra Regional Minister-designate and Mr. Stephen Ackah, Deputy Minister-designate for Local Government and Rural Development. 

The quartet was part of the new entrants to government announced by President Mills in his last cabinet reshuffle.

The first batch of five nominees was vetted by the Committee a week ago and is awaiting approval by Ghana’s Parliament.

So far Minister-designate for Employment and Social Welfare, Moses Asaga, Mr Fritz Baffour, Minister-designate for Information, Dominic Azimbe Azumah, MP for Garu/Timpane, Minister of State-designate at the Presidency and Mr Stephen Ackah, Deputy Minister-designate for Local Government and Rural Development, have been vetted by the committee.
